FWSP and WDNR Work Together

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and the Friends of Wisconsin State Parks (FWSP) have a long history of working together to protect and promote Wisconsin’s state parks.
In recent years, the two organizations have partnered on numerous initiatives and projects to improve the outdoor experience for park visitors. For example, the FWSP and DNR recently collaborated on a project to install a new boat launch at Governor Thompson State Park.

In addition to these projects, the FWSP works closely with the DNR to promote volunteerism in the state parks. The organization encourages individuals and groups to get involved with park clean-ups, trail maintenance, and other activities to help maintain the natural beauty of the parks.

The FWSP and DNR also work together to promote educational programs and special events at the state parks. The FWSP helps to fund and promote these activities, while the DNR provides staff and resources to ensure the events are successful.

Finally, the FWSP and DNR recently partnered to launch a new public awareness campaign. The campaign focuses on the importance of protecting and preserving Wisconsin’s state parks, as well as highlighting the various recreational opportunities available within the parks.

The partnership between the FWSP and DNR is a testament to the importance of collaboration and teamwork in protecting and promoting Wisconsin’s state parks. The two organizations continue to work together to create a better outdoor experience for all park visitors.
